Richard E. Dyck
President, TCS-Japan and East Asia Connector Services, Ltd. (Shanghai)
Company Profile
TCS-Japan was founded in 1999 when we (Rick Dyck and Mike Strack) acquired the Japanese operations of a backplane connection system business from Teradyne, a US manufacturer of automatic test equipment systems and high speed connectors.
Since 1999 we have expanded our product line to include a wide variety of connectors and backplanes. Our engineering group works with our customers on the design and simulation of their backplanes and enclosures, which enables us to choose the most economical connectors and material for the application. Our procurement network spans the globe. We assemble in state-of-the art factories in Yokohama, Japan and Shanghai, China.
We started our operation in China in 2001, where we not only build backplanes and enclosures but also provide general sourcing and procurement services for several companies in the area of electro-mechanical sub-assembly.
Our customers include Toshiba, NEC, Hitachi, Matsushita, Yokogawa Denki, Teradyne, Shibasoku, Mitsubishi Electric, and Fujitsu. Applications include telecommunications equipment, data communications equipment, medical equipment, industrial controllers and automatic test equipment.
