Mr. Ricco DeBlank, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo and The Park Residences
Hailing from the Netherlands, DeBlank graduated from The Hague School and started his career at
Walt Disney Company in executive management training. DeBlank was also instrumental in the
opening of eight hotels in Florida and Europe.
A leader of wide vision with thorough knowledge of diverse cultures culled from his experience of
having visited over 100 countries, DeBlank's multi-lingual skills encompass Dutch, English, French,
German and Italian.
DeBlank joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 1995 and since then, has worked in Bali, Indonesia,
Shanghai, China and Seoul, Korea as a director of human resources. In 1998, he was appointed
Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner in the U.S. He became
General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Sharm el-Sheikh after a stint as Executive Assistant Manager,
Rooms in Hong Kong. DeBlank arrived in Japan in 2003 as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton,
Osaka and established the hotel as the city' finest both in Japan and around the world.
