Profile
Ms. Sasaki began her career with Asahi TV. She was an international reporter for �gNews Station�h the top-rated nightly Japanese news program and later anchored �g60 Minutes�h in Japan. In 1987, while still working as a journalist, Ms. Sasaki founded Unicul International, an international communication consultancy. Today, Unicul handles projects for clients in Europe, America, and Asia ranging from managing the Press Center at the Tokyo Motor Show and web design/site management for major Japanese corporations, to corporate communication design, coordinating interpreting and translating in 70 languages, and managing publicity for leading business figures.

Ms. Sasaki also founded the Network for Aspiring Professional Women (NAPW) in 1989 and serves as the current chairwoman. In 1996, she started the International Conference for Women in Business. Now in its 9th year, it has become one of the most successful international conferences for women in Japan.

In 2000, Ms. Sasaki founded ewoman, Inc. and became president and CEO. ewoman works with Japanese female opinion leaders and tastemakers to forecast consumer trends for major corporations including Matsushita/Panasonic, Nissan, Toyota, and Saikyo Bank. ( www.ewoman.co.jp )

Ms. Sasaki is known for her magazine articles and newspaper columns, books, university and business lectures, and committee work in relation to international, internet, regulatory, and women's issues. Her published works include �gA millionaire's guide to using a dayplanner�h(Discover21) "You Can Still Work When You're Pregnant" (Wave Shuppan), and "The Give & Given Concept" (Just System Shuppan). The bestsellers she has translated include "Only the Paranoid Survive" by Andrew Grove, CEO of Intel Corporation (Shichiken Shuppan), "Clicking/17 Trends that drive your business and life" by Faith Popcorn, Chairman of Brain Reserve.

Ms. Sasaki was chosen as one of the thirteen most successful women in Japan to lunch with U.S. First Lady Hillary Rodham in April 1996. She was president of the Japanese chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO) in 1997 and 1998. She received the New Business Association's Entrepreneur Award in 1988. Ms. Sasaki is married and has two children. She lives in Tokyo.
