Eric Young"The Social Learning Revolution: Creating a disruptive business model from Japan"

As Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Cerego Japan, Eric manages Cerego's overall business strategy and financial affairs.
His other entrepreneurial ventures include:

  • The Princeton Review of Japan: Chairman of Executive Committee. Major shareholder of company, established in 1989 and operating profitably for 18 years.
  • Metro Capital: Chairman of Investment Committee of a Japanese company focused on investments into distressed-asset, real estate, and venture capital activities.

Prior to Cerego, Eric had an eleven-year career in Capital Markets. His experience includes:

  • Westdeutsche Landesbank (WestLB): From 1996 - 1999 he managed the Asian securities company of WestLB (one of Germany's largest banking institutions), where he was Representative Director (CEO). He had direct management and profit-loss responsibility for all Fixed Income Trading & Sales throughout Asia.
  • Bankers Trust: From 1989 - 1996 he worked eight years as a bond and currency derivatives trader at Bankers Trust in New York, Tokyo and London.
Eric graduated from the American School in Japan in 1984 before graduating from Yale University in 1988 with an honors degree in Chemical Engineering.

He is 41 years old, has lived in Japan for approximately 25 years.
