"B2B Sales Methods for Start-ups"
Dan Harris, Principal, at MAP Market Analytic Partners.
Dan has been in B2B sales and marketing for 27 years, with most of that in Japan and the rest in New York. In his positions at Sony (industrial products), Salomon Brothers, PacificData, and SAS Institute, he has spearheaded the introduction of new products, created and executed lead generation programs, trained salespersons, provided marketing support - and, of course, set up and conducted innumerable sales calls.
During his 5 years at PacificData, a 20 person firm, Dan experienced first-hand the selling challenges faced by small firms. He now has a consultancy focused on assisting B2B sales departments in Japan to improve their performance (i.e. sales). He recently helped set up the B2B sales committee at the ACCJ. Dan received his BA from Sophia University in Tokyo, his MBA from Harvard, and speaks/reads/writes Japanese. He is a tennis player, a hiker, and a salsa dancer. Dan was born and raised in Oklahoma, USA, and is now a permanent resident in Japan.
