Ann Sado is the proprietor and representative director of A TO Z Sado Enterprises Ltd., a Japanese management consulting firm specializing in marketing and PR for the creative fields. She successfully launched a calligraphy and Japanese style painting gallery, Ginza Shorou, in Ginza and is a partner and managing director of Legacy Memoirs, a Japanese pioneer in family publishing that provides workshops on Oral History to preserve history of families and individuals. Ann is involved in several global humanitarian projects. She is dedicated to helping people improve their lives through programs which empower and enrich their lives. She is especially focused in promoting women's advancement in society (GEWEL). Ann is also member of the STAR International Japan board of directors.

Personal Profile

Bi-cultural, bi-lingual 3rd generation Japanese-American born in Tokyo with B.A. in Comparative Literature from Occidental College in LA, CA and M.A. from Waseda University Graduate School in Japanese Classical Theater and Dance with a professional stage name and teaching certificate from the Iwai School of Japanese Classical Dance. Having diverse background as Creative Service Director at a multi-media screen presentation and engineering company producing Bottler Conventions of Coca-Cola, Marketing Manager of multi-national cosmetics brand as Aramis at Estee Lauder and Group Product Manager/Brand Development Manager of L'Oreal Japan for Lancome, Institut de Beaute, and Helena Rubinstein , management consultant from 1987 at Roland Berger & Partners Ltd. under the Deutsche Bank, she became the Vice-President of Apparel starting up the Apparel Division at Reebok Japan in 1992 and grew the business.

She left to help start up her family business, Ginza Shorou Gallery in the fall of 1994 and her own A TO Z Sado Enterprises Ltd. in 1995. In 1998 she invested in Legacy Memoirs, private family publishing of Oral Histories and Personal Memoirs, and became the partner, establishing the Roppongi Center with full Japanese service in 2000. Currently she serves as advisor for several businesses, including STAR International and has set up NPO Global Enhancement of Women's Executive Leadership (GEWEL) with Kimiko Horii (former Avon Executive Sales Director) to train and support more women to break the 0.4% representation in Boards of Japanese corporations against the 12% in the USA.

She has served as Div. B Governor of Toastmasters International of District 76 until June, 2003, having founded KeyForce Toastmasters Club in 1999. As charter president of Zonta Club of Tokyo III under Zonta International District 26 until May, 2003, she supported to advance the status of women worldwide. Former member of the ACCJ, she is currently member of Tokyo Chamber of Commerce & Industry, International House of Japan, Asian Pacific American Women's Leadership Institute, and Japanese-American National Museum.
